LiveAbove.com Ministry Set-Up
LiveAbove.com is committed to connecting high school seniors to college/career ministries before they leave home. Your ministry can participate.
What We Look For: We are seeking local churches/ministries that have a something specifically set up to work with the college/career age group of 18 to 24. Today, we have high school seniors contacting ministries long before they graduate.
It is important that the ministries who sign up are prepared to interact with students to develop a relationship with them before they graduate. Students within your ministry are often the best to execute this function. Once you are approved, you will be able to add student administrators to your account to help you run your LiveAbove.com pages.
We ask ministries that want to receive contacts from this national transition effort to help us reach out to high school seniors on their behalf by making a $100 contribution annually. This money is put toward reaching high school students with preparation and motivation content that brings them to LiveAbove.com to connect with your ministry. Ministries unable to make such a contribution can request an exception in the process of setting up your ministry.
Churches Local churches can (digitally online) adopt up to four campuses within a 20-mile radius, allowing you to receive the names of students looking for ministries from local community college campuses and universities. Exceptions can be made on the number of locations you can adopt in urban settings by filling out the application, being approved and then contacting YTN to add other locations.
Independent College Ministries Independent ministries can adopt the campus that they work on. If you are with a ministry that has ministries on multiple locations, please call us at 602-441-2240.
The Set-Up Process: LiveAbove.com has a Ministry Application Wizard that will walk you through the application and set-up process. The wizard will record your progress so you can stop and restart the set-up as you have time to work on it. This will include agreeing to a basic statement of faith, an involvement covenant (established at YTN’s Annual Meeting) and creating the content for your site. This will need to be completed prior to the review process.
This process was laid out by YTN’s Guiding Coalition of 50 national ministries to protect the integrity of the transition site and therefore requires ministries seeking to become involved to fill out an application and set up the content of their site prior to receiving approval to go live on the site. Upon completing the application and site setup, a link to your site and application will be sent automatically to local ministry leaders in your area for review. They have 10 days to comment on the application. If any issues arise in the process, we will contact you to discuss them. If not, your site will go live automatically after the 10-day approval process.
