Interaction Questions
Each session includes group discussion questions. These are based upon the questions asked by students at the live event and on the feedback of students who wanted more interaction time during the event.
Session One: “Change”
- What five changes – either positive or negative – do you expect to encounter when you go to college?
Session Two: “Responding to Student Research”
- What surprised you from the research?
- What other questions did it raise for you?
Session Three: “Pressures, Parties and Vacuums”
- How will you approach your first days on campus?
- How will you open a discussion with your roommate about sharing the space and responsibilities?
Session Four: “The Battle for the Mind”
- What can you do to handle information overload productively?
- Do you expect to be challenged in the classroom and, if so, what will you do?
Session Five: “Tales from the Trenches”
- What questions do you have about college and the transition?
- What are your goals for the first two weeks?
Session Six: “Managing Academics & Finances”
- What are your financial challenges?
- How will you manage your free time?
Session Seven: “Expectations and Failure”
- What expectations do you feel that you need to live up to in order to consider yourself a “good Christian?”
Session Eight: “It’s Your Faith Now”
- Will you tackle this on your own or seek out advisors or parents to help you succeed?
- How will you investigate and connect with a ministry?
